First Week- Done, Orientation- EKKKK!!!

The Concordia Bell Tower! Never walk under it!
Hey everyone! It has been a crazy couple days! My move in went very and very fast. But for the first couple days, I hardly had any room in my dorm! No lofts= No space! The first week of dance practices were very fun! We learned all 5 of the "Sidelines" which are performed during pep band songs at football and basketball games. On Thursday and Friday we had technique from 5:30-9:30. Can you say INTENSE? However, it was very helpful and the things I learned will help greatly during the season.

My roommate moved in on Saturday and I LOVE HER! She is the best roommate ever! So easy going and doesn't talk too much! That night we had a Hunger Games party in our room with a couple other people and that was so fun!

Orientation... Where do I start? Such a hectic time! I am in Club 15- We All Live In A Yellow Submarine. The welcome show on Sunday evening was so awesome, so funny, and a great way to spend the first night with all my classmates!

Breonna, my roommate, and I at Cabaret on Monday night!
Monday morning we all got up at 7:00 and went out to areas around the FM area and did a service project for about 2 hours. My club went to the South Ronald McDonald house. We didn't help with any of the residents, but we washed the windows and the toys in their very cute Tree House Toy Room. If I do volunteering during school, which I really want to do, I want to go back there and do more for them! At the closing ceremony, they told us that the reason the first day at Concordia, we went out and did a service project, was because of Concordia's mission: The purpose of Concordia College is to influence the affairs of the world by sending into society thoughtful and informed men and women dedicated to the Christian life. After a much needed break, we went to a talent show that the upperclassmen put on called "Cabaret." I cannot believe the talent that our school has! I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazingly talented people!

Today, we have been learning all about the academic side of Concordia. Although boring, the information I have been hearing about is very helpful and will be useful during school!

I have been enjoying wearing my beanie! It is so fun to finally have one of my own! :) That's all for now friends! Thanks for following me! More later!
